About a month ago, I stumbled upon QUOD (short for Quod erat demonstrandum). Quod is a remarkably, original line. Think big tulle skirts, ruffles, frills, big exaggerated sleeves, and statement making shoulders. It has a slight Elizabethan era feel to it, with the puffy sleeves and tailored chest… but it also exudes rock n’ roll streetwear. Maybe a little 90’s punk… minus the plaid! It is hard to nail down a single word to describe Quod. It is like playing dress up… but comfortably and practical. Clean cut designs, with a sprinkle of extra! That is what makes this brand so special and unique. The majority of their designs fall into the monochromatic color spectrum. But, you’ll find the occasional pop of color.
Everything about the shirt I ordered was amazing, the cut, the material, the sleeves. Just impeccable tailoring. A very versetile piece… Something you could wear to brunch or a night out. My favorite detail on my shirt is that they cropped the shirt, leaving a very slight fray to the edges, but kept the button panel slightly longer creating a distinctive silhouette.
