I recently tried out an affordable Skincare line. Versed.
Their packaging caught my eye right away. It’s clean and bold. The packaging itself gets straight to the point, of letting you know exactly what the product is going to do for you. Which makes choosing your poison so easy! They have a whole line of products that include masks, cleansers, toners, serums, and moisturizers. I chose to grab a couple of their masks while I was at Target, and have used them for the last couple of weeks.
The masks come in 3 different versions: “Photos, Please” a Brightening Tightening Mask, “Find Clarity” a Purifying Mask, and “Look Alive” a Hydrating Plumping Mask.
The price point for all is very affordable, at $9.99 a piece. And their website states that they are “free from parabens, silicones, sulfates, and 1,300+ other toxins.”
Photos, Please
I thought originally that this would be my favorite mask out of the bunch, however, I found it a little drying for my skin. I do use prescription strength Retin-A though, so sometimes I have to be mindful about what I use. It has a plethora of great ingredients though, including turmeric and red kaolin clay. It has a wonderfully creamy clay feeling, and it feels cooling and soothing while you are masking. I think that if you have slightly oily skin this would honestly be a fabulous mask!! It does give your skin a nice, bright glow!
Look Alive
This ended up being my favorite mask out of the bunch! It contains Aloe Leaf Juice, Rosehip Seed Oil and a special Plant based Collagen alternative. It is a Gel mask that is very soothing on the skin. It has a lovely Rose smell. It says that it smooths out skin texture, increases elasticity and moisturizes. I don’t know about skin texture but it definitely gave me a burst of hydration and my skin was noticeably brighter. My skin had a lovely bounce to it due to the plumping effects as well.
Find Clarity
This last mask uses a couple different kinds of charcoal and clay to help purify your pores. Binchotan white charcoal, Bamboo charcoal powder, Kaolin clay, and Bentonite Clay. It is meant to draw toxins out of your pores, and help with any excess oily production on your skin. I don’t have oily skin so I only used this mask a few times. My pores definitely looked smaller after I used this mask. I honestly think I would use this mask as a spot treatment mask for those pesky red bumps that creep up ever so often. And if you do have skin that is on the oilier side, this mask would be beneficial.
I will be honest, I liked them, but I didn’t looooove them. If you are looking for some basic masks, at an excellent price point, then you should definitely try this line. Also, I believe that they are an excellent option for a mask to pack if you are traveling. The packaging makes it virtually impossible for an accidental spill to happen in your luggage!
